Functional Inorganic Materials Lab

The Iyer lab works on the interface of solid-state chemistry and materials science.

The central theme of the group is the development of the rational synthetic design for the discovery of new inorganic compounds to tune their physical properties.

Research in the group will result in obtaining an in-depth understanding of structure (X-ray crystallography) and characterize their physical properties (optical and magnetic).
